Hullo, I'm ValMarie. I'm 21, I
live in western
NY in the United States, and I'm getting married on November 6th.
Mostly people refer to me as Val because I don't respond to VM and that
works just fine for me.
I mostly write mainstream fiction (things that happen in the
straight vanilla world that we live in, although it's not as boring as
it sounds). I don't know how I get started with that. I think it's
because I like to look at life and what twisted things could happen
while still staying in the constraints of what we currently know is
true. I do have an idea for a fantasy novel or rather a fantasy world
from which a story may develop. I like science fiction and am starting
to really enjoy mysteries. I'm not too sure if I would write in either
of those genres, but I'm not ruling it out (especially because I know
this interesting fact concerning koala fingerprints that's too cool to
pass up). I'm also getting pretty interested in writing nonfiction
articles.
As for my duties here at Evolution: I am the Board Moderator for
the Bazaar
(come sell your stuff!) and the Category Mod for the Genre
Discussion section and you'll see me bouncing around in lots of
other
forums on site.
I'm a dancer, a Christian, passionate about the government's status
on cryptology, and a collector of old etiquette books. I also work in
public schools with special needs children and today I was five yards
away when a schoolbus ran over a squirrel. I'll be happy to discuss any
of those things with you if it will contribute to your story.
